Gerald and Miriam Steele have been missionaries to the nations for over four decades. Both are graduates of Bethel College, Mishawaka, IN. Gerald also has a masters degree in missions from Columbia International University, Columbia, South Carolina.
The Steeles have served in Brazil, Portugal and Mozambique. In Mozambique a disciple making movement was launched among the Makua people in 2006 that has resulted in approximately 70,000 disciples being made and over 1,000 churches being planted.
The Steeles are parents of three adult children and grandparents of five grandchildren. Recently they celebrated the arrival of their second great grandchild.
They reside in Sebring, Florida but make frequent trips overseas to train pastors in Portuguese speaking countries.
