Associate Ministries | Mercy4Africa - Paalman Family
Carl and Ilne Paalman with their three children- Rashelle, Tim and Simon – are servants in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. They have been following His call as He has led: first to Mercy Ships in West Africa, then to an orphanage in Liberia, West Africa and then to a house of safety in South Africa.
God’s call on their lives is one of service to the vulnerable, such as the fatherless child and widows. Now God has led them with words from Isaiah 49:8: “I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances…” to join hands with Hope Builder Ministries Zambia (HBMZ) to a desolate property 10 miles outside of Mazabuka in the Southern province of Zambia. It had been a school ground with a classroom and a teachery. It had been abandoned some years ago and rundown from disservice and use. The local Chief allocated this property to HBMZ for the Dignity Project in Zambia.
Partnering together with HBMZambia they have converted the old school building into their home and are managing the Dignity Project there. A well has been dug, a vehicle provided and gardening has started. The goal is to establish a ministry to orphans and widows through the local churches established by HBMZ.
As a family they are supporting this ministry by teaching Conservation Farming and other techniques which help the HBMZ pastors and churches to care for themselves and the vulnerable in their congregations and communities. The local community is also being helped by teaching them better farming skills.
